i.Who we are
Anzi ("we," "us," "our") is an independent app project operated as a sole proprietorship in Italy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit anzi.app or use the Anzi app (collectively, the "Service").
We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Italian data protection law. We aim to collect as little data as possible — privacy is a core feature of Anzi, not an afterthought.
ii.What we collect
When you join the waitlist
When you submit your email on anzi.app, we collect:
- Your email address
- The date you joined the waitlist
- The page or source that brought you to us (e.g., "Twitter," "direct")
When you use the Anzi app
The Anzi app is designed to keep your data on your device. By default, we do not collect:
- Your purchase entries or amounts
- Your emoji ratings
- Your spending categories or notes
- Your bank or financial account details (we never connect to your bank)
If you opt in to optional cloud sync (a future feature), encrypted data may be stored on our servers solely to sync across your devices. You can opt out at any time.
Technical data
When you visit anzi.app, our hosting provider (Vercel) may log basic technical data like IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This is standard web infrastructure logging and is not used by us for tracking or profiling.
iii.How we use your data
We use the data we collect for the following purposes:
- To send you launch updates. We'll email you when Anzi is ready, plus a small number of progress updates (typically 2–4 emails total before launch).
- To improve the Service. Aggregate metrics like "how many people signed up this week" help us understand demand.
- To honor your rights. If you ask us to delete or export your data, we use your email to find your records.
We will never:
- Sell your email or personal data to third parties
- Share your data with advertisers
- Use your data to train AI models
- Send you marketing emails for products other than Anzi
iv.Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
Under GDPR, we process your data based on:
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — when you submit your email to the waitlist, you consent to receive launch updates
- Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) — for basic security logs and operating the website
v.Who we share data with
We use a small number of trusted service providers ("data processors") to operate Anzi:
- MailerLite — stores your email address and sends our waitlist emails (based in Lithuania, EU). MailerLite Privacy Policy
- Vercel — hosts anzi.app website (US-based; EU data is handled under Standard Contractual Clauses). Vercel Privacy Policy
We do not use any tracking pixels, advertising networks, or analytics platforms (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, nothing like that).
vi.Your rights under GDPR
As a person in the EU, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate data
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time (use the unsubscribe link in any email)
- Object to processing
- Complain to the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali)
vii.How long we keep your data
We keep your waitlist email until either: (a) you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or (b) two years pass without Anzi launching — whichever comes first. After deletion, we retain only the minimum necessary backup data for 30 days, then it's permanently removed.
viii.Security
We protect your data with industry-standard security: HTTPS for the website, encrypted storage at our service providers, and limited access controls. No system is 100% secure, but we treat your data with the same care we'd want our own treated.
ix.Children's privacy
Anzi is not intended for children under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have collected data from someone under 16, please contact us.
x.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll email subscribers and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
